It comes from Tehillim, the book of Psalms, chapter 32, verse 10. The full verse contrasts two ways of moving through the world.

The Hebrew word for this kind of trust is bitachon, בִּטָּחוֹן. It is close to the English word faith but not identical.
Faith often describes belief that something is true. Bitachon describes reliance, the settled sense that you are held even when the situation has not improved yet.
