Hebrew Engraved Bangles

Learn more about hebrew engraved bangles

Why a Hebrew engraved bangle becomes the one you reach for every morning

We've been making Hebrew engraved bangles at The Honest Jeweler since 2010, and we still hear the same line from buyers: "I keep this on. I forget I'm wearing it." That's the whole point of this line. It's a flat, soft-cuff bangle priced at $49, deep-engraved with a Hebrew phrase you actually want to live with, and made one at a time in our New York workshop with the Chez Chaya design partnership.

The phrases here aren't decorative. Each one carries weight. Gam Zu Letova (this too is for the good) is what you say when life hits sideways. Hashem Is Always With Me is what you put on a bat mitzvah girl's wrist before she walks into a hard year. Shiviti Hashem L'Negdi Tamid is the morning intention every observant Jew is taught to set. We engrave the Hebrew script first, full letterforms, no font shortcuts.

How we make these in our workshop

The bangle itself is hypoallergenic stainless steel with a soft brushed finish. It bends by hand at the wrist, holds shape, and won't tarnish in the shower or at the gym. Each piece gets laser-engraved in a single pass with proofed Hebrew letterforms reviewed by our team before machining. We don't use Microsoft Word fonts. Real Ashkenazi script.

Who buys this line

Mothers buy it for daughters. Daughters buy it for mothers. We see a lot of bat mitzvah and graduation orders where the giver wants the recipient to wear the same intention every day. Many of our buyers stack two or three of these on the same wrist, alternating Hebrew phrases. The flat profile sits flush so they don't clack against each other.

How the Hebrew engraved bangle line connects to the rest of the catalog

If the bangle is the daily reminder, the matching ring or necklace can be the second touchpoint. We carry Hebrew spinner rings with the same phrases, plus a full Intuitions stretch bracelet collection at the same price point. Buyers building a stack often add one of our thin stackable bangles on either side of the engraved piece. The full bangle hub lives at engraved bangle bracelets.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Hebrew real letters or a font shortcut? Real letters. We use proofed Hebrew letterforms reviewed before each batch goes onto the engraver. We don't substitute English letters that look Hebrew, and we don't accept the kind of garbled vowel marks you'll see on cheaper Etsy listings.

Can I shower or work out in it? Yes. The base metal is hypoallergenic stainless steel with a brushed finish. It won't tarnish, won't turn your wrist green, and the engraving is deep enough to survive daily contact.

Will it fit a small wrist? The flat-cuff style bends to fit. We've sized it on bat mitzvah girls and on adult women. Squeeze gently to close, ease open to remove. The metal holds shape between wears.

Is this Jewish-owned? Yes. The Honest Jeweler is a Jewish-owned shop. Our Hebrew line is made in partnership with Chez Chaya, an observant Jewish jewelry designer. That's the trust gap a lot of Etsy sellers can't fill.

Can I add my own engraving on the inside? Yes, on the personalized cuff variant. The Hebrew phrase line is fixed because each design is part of the named collection, but the personalized cuff lets you put a name, date, or short phrase on the inside.
