Spinning Engravable Rings: Your Words on a Rotating Band

A spinning engravable ring is the version of a spinner ring you customize yourself. The outer band spins like a standard fidget ring, but instead of a pre-set Hebrew phrase or English affirmation, you choose the text — a name, a date, a sobriety anniversary, a Hebrew word that matters to you, a child's initial.

These are the pieces customers buy when the stock phrases don't fit. The physical mechanism is identical to our spinner rings — same spin quality, same sizing, same metal options. What changes is the ring becomes yours from the first wear.

The Base Models

The Customized Spinner Ring — Gold ($54) is the entry-level 14K-finish version. Sterling silver inner band with a gold-finish outer spinner. Accepts four to five characters per band, customized at checkout.

The Customized Spinner Ring — Two Tone Plain ($68) and the Customized Spinner Ring — Two Tone Hammered ($68) are the mid-tier options. Plain has a polished outer band, hammered has a textured outer for a more handmade read. Both take custom engraving in English or Hebrew.

The Complex x Honest Drop Customized Spinner Ring ($48) is the collab piece — same mechanism, slightly different finish from our standard line.

Solid 14K Gold Custom Spinner

For shoppers who want solid gold (not finish/plated), the 14K Gold Customized Spinner Ring ($1,946) is the top-tier option. The phrase is up to you — "This Too Shall Pass" is one popular default, but any Hebrew phrase or English word fits. This is the heirloom piece — customers buy it for a 50th birthday, a sobriety anniversary, a child's naming.

What to Engrave

Common requests we see at The Honest Jeweler:

  • A child's Hebrew name (most requested)
  • A date — anniversary, sobriety, yahrzeit
  • A Hebrew phrase not in our stock line (e.g. יהי רצון, בעזרת השם)
  • An English affirmation not in stock (e.g. "breathe," "enough," a therapy catchphrase)
  • A loved one's name or initials

The Honest Jeweler proofs every Hebrew engraving before production. This is the step that catches inverted characters, missing nikud, and auto-translation errors — the single most common complaint about Hebrew custom jewelry online, and the reason we do it manually.

FAQs

How many characters can I engrave?
Four to five characters per band on most models. The solid 14K version can fit slightly more. The proof review will confirm what your text fits before we cut.

Can I engrave in Hebrew?
Yes. Type the phrase in Hebrew at checkout (or in English and we'll translate). We'll send a proof image before production for your approval.

Does the engraving wear off?
No. The engraving is cut into the metal, not printed. Daily wear polishes around the letters but doesn't erase them.

Is sizing the same as a regular ring?
Size a half-size larger than your regular ring — the spinning outer band adds slight bulk. Order our PVC Ring Sizer to confirm first if you're between sizes.

Production time?
Custom engraving adds two to three business days for proof review. Total from checkout to shipping: seven to ten business days. Rush available for time-sensitive gifts.
